The Sawtooth Mountains are our favorite place to be!
Hello! We are the Slaughter Family: Mike & Britiney Slaughter and our 3 young-adult boys. We are Idaho natives, both having grown up in Southeast Idaho. We now live in Boise and we have camped at Redfish Lake nearly every summer for more than 30 years. Our families have enjoyed camping in the Idaho mountains for generations.

It has long been a dream of ours to own a cabin in the Stanley area, and we are so thrilled this dream has finally come true. We are overjoyed to own a tiny slice of this heavenly place and to be able to share it with our guests. The Story of Casino Pines Cabin
Relaxing Rustic Getaway
This beautiful log cabin was originally built in 1939 and was lovingly remodeled in the early 2000s. The remodel added a majestic great room looking out on the Salmon River, just steps away, as well as a private bedroom, a bathroom, and two sleeping lofts. It is one of just a few cabins located in the Sawtooth National Recreational Area, also known as the River of No Return Wilderness, which sports world-famous fishing and white water rafting.
The free-standing cabin is on a private dirt road off Highway 75 just a few miles from beautiful Stanley, Idaho. Enjoy this relaxing getaway within walking distance of spectacular hikes, world-class fishing and rafting, or just relax in the mountain air on a porch or in a hammock with your favorite book! Fish for your breakfast out your back door and cook your catch on the beautiful vintage-style wood-burning stove in the kitchen. This cabin has a private main-floor bedroom with a queen bed as well as two sleeping lofts with three more queen beds and two single beds.
In the heart of the Sawtooth Valley, this clean and cozy cabin provides a beautifully appointed but rustic space where you can escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and relax to the sound of the rippling river and the wind in the pines. The cabin surrounds you with both historical and modern touches.
Central Idaho is an area unlike any other. Every path you find will lead you to areas that are so untouched by humans that you wonder if you are the only one who has ever been there. The rushing rivers and towering mountaintops are more impressive everywhere you look. The beautiful wilderness area in the surrounding area will call you outside for a day of hiking, fishing, swimming, and exploring. Afterward, you can spend a relaxing evening under the stars with people you love around the fire pit enjoying ghost stories and s'mores! Stanley is designated as a Dark Sky Reserve, where the stars are so bright it feels like you can reach out and touch them. Stargazing is an incredible way to spend one of your nights here. As the day comes to an end, the cozy fireplace, handmade quilts, and fluffy comforters, and the logs harvested by hand from the property and used in the construction of the cabin will call you back in. Your dreams will be filled with the excitement of the day and anticipation of what tomorrow might hold.
